What People Are Saying

My house is from the 1880's and was missing a three panel window (it had been covered with fiber board) in the front. Emily & Mollie started by coming out to take some measurements. They explained the process to me as well as bringing glass samples so that I could get the full experience of each color in my space. A short time later they gave me a proposal which included price as well as sample drawings. With a deposit we were underway. As the project progressed I was able to stop by the studio to check on it (they were open to suggestions but I decided to trust their judgment). Creating my three windows from scratch didn't take long. On the installation date they arrived on time and with all the needed tools. The windows went in without a hitch. They cleaned up and left me with three beautiful windows which fit the age and style of my home to a "t". I'm thrilled with the windows as well as Solstice Art Source & Emily & Mollie…I just can't figure out why I didn't do it sooner!

The window was a HIT! My picky, incredibly difficult to please mother loved it. NO easy feat.

Dear COF members and friends: I thought I would share with you yet another favorite resource. Solstice has done several projects for me and the work is first class. Guests to my house cannot even tell that the windows above my fireplace are not original ! If you are looking for an unusual and creative gift for someone who has everything... consider a custom designed stained glass window!

Solstice has done several art glass projects for my company. The results were great. Expeditious, creative, and easy to work with, I especially recommend the layout and design work - they are superb.

Description of work: Solstice removed two 100-year-old stained glass windows from my home. The windows were thoroughly photographed, then completely taken apart, cleaned, repaired and re-glazed and reassembled, then reinstalled in my home.

Comments: Emily Carlson is a consummate professional and a true stained glass artisan. She took meticulous care with these windows and respected their historical significance. She immersed herself into this job wholeheartedly and with admirable patience. Her expert craftsmanship and attention to detail were beyond what I could have anticipated, and the windows are sparkling and set to last another 100 years. Emily is a tribute to her profession, and I recommend her without hesitation.

My husband insisted on having Thanksgiving dinner early this year - because the sun doesn't shine into the dining room during the time that we would traditionally eat, and he wanted our guests to be able to enjoy our beautiful new stained glass windows!

We really like our new window. It's a very cool addition to our house. When it's dark out and we turn on our chandelier it looks very nice. It looks even better when our neighbor has his lights on. During the day it also looks very nice, and different than it does at night. But my favorite is when the sun is setting. You should see the window in the last hour of sunlight. I sat on the couch and watched it like it was a TV! I was like: "Becky, look at the window now...Becky, look at the window now!" It really glows. It has surpassed both of our expectations. An additional benefit is that we now get to see our beautiful window frame instead of the closed blinds. I just thought I should tell you that your creativity, attention to detail, and careful thought were very much appreciated. We no longer have to choose between looking at some greasy-haired dude in his boxer shorts in front of his computer or our closed blinds!
